So often, large companies lose sight of what’s really important. They forget where they came from and the people who supported them along the way. There’s no way we, at Cook Portable Warehouses, would be in the position we are today without the help of our amazing customers.
With such a loyal and caring fan base, it only makes sense that we give back to those in need. However, it’s impossible to choose just one charitable organization when there are so many great ones out there. For that reason, Cook Portable Warehouses supports a growing number of community efforts across the nation.
- Veteran’s Airlift Command
After returning home from war, wounded troops can face long-term hospitalization, located hundreds of miles from their families. This partnership with the Veteran’s Airlift Command allows us and other corporate aircraft owners to voluntarily bring troops and their families together. Our aircraft has flown more than 20 missions for the Veteran’s Airlift Command to date. Learn more about this organization and how you can help by visiting their website.
- Corporate Angel Network
The sole mission of this charitable organization is to help cancer patients access the best treatment for their specific type of cancer. This is accomplished by arranging free travel across the country using empty seats on corporate aircraft. Our company is proud to be a partner of the Corporate Angel Network, often providing flights for patients and their families. Visit their website to see how you can get involved!
- Citation Special Olympics Airlift
Coordinating this Special Olympics Airlift is a labor of love for Cessna, and it permits Citation customers to give a unique experience to some very special people. The bond developed between pilots and passengers is not easy to describe; you’d have to experience it yourself in order to understand the magnitude of what has become the largest peacetime airlift in the world. Find out how you can help by visiting their website here.
- Coaches vs. Cancer
This program empowers coaches, teams, and communities to join in the fight against cancer by participating in awareness efforts, advocacy programs, and fundraising activities. Guided by the Coaches vs. Cancer Council, participating coaches have helped raise more than $87 million for the American Cancer Society. Through our partnership with Southern Illinois University, Cook Portable Warehouses has raised over $20,000 in support of the growing effort. Check out the American Cancer Society’s website for more information.
- Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots was created for several reasons: to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas, to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children, to unite members of local communities in a common cause, and to contribute to better communities in the future. Each year, a group of Cook’s dedicated dealers volunteer to serve as toy drop-off points for the annual toy drive. You can learn more about this organization and how you as an individual can help by visiting the website here.
- KB Horse Camp’s Ride for Life Rodeo
We are proud to partner with KB Horse Camp in supporting their annual Ride For Life Rodeo and applaud their efforts to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. During the first quarter of 2014, Cook’s Georgia Division fleet team displayed gold ribbons on every truck in support of the event. Find out more about KB Horse Camp and the Ride For Life Rodeo by visiting their website or Facebook page.
Put goodness out into the world, and goodness will come back to you. It’s as simple as that! We firmly believe in this statement and are honored to be involved with so many charitable causes. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers and everyone who makes these efforts possible!
“We do so many other things that don’t get recognized. We support many local schools, sports teams, universities, etc. across the 12 states we do business in. Just this morning, we made a sizeable donation to help a little boy in Southern IL, battling a childhood illness. It’s one of the things I love about working for this company. They have a huge heart.” – Jonathan Bevis, Director of Marketing, Cook Portable Warehouses
