Role of Construction Manager

Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing personnel.

Duties

  • Assign daily production schedule

  • Monitor work areas to assure accuracy and quality of work

  • Recruit and hire qualified candidates

  • Provide new and continuous training for all employees

  • Conduct daily spot checks to ensure accuracy

  • Complete final inspections of products

  • Complete weekly inventory level check

  • Order materials in a timely matter

  • Complete monthly end raw and finish goods inventory check

  • Monitor employees to ensure safety

  • Conduct weekly safety meetings

  • Other duties as needed

  • Must be willing to undergo criminal background check

  • Pre-employment drug screen required

Skills:

  • Proven working experience in construction management

  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods

  • Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process

  • Familiarity with construction management software packages a plus

  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”

  • Competent in conflict and crisis management

  • Leadership and human resources management skills

  • Excellent time and project management skills

  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field a plus
