The Cook Chicken Coop houses a backyard flock in a real wood building, from $2,315 cash. It comes in two footprints on one notched-skid floor — a compact 6×6 for a small flock, or a 6×12 lean-to you can walk into to gather eggs. Hardware-cloth windows and a ridge vent keep air moving, and because the coop and its run share one notched-skid floor, they move together if you reposition the flock.
Chicken Coop is built for backyard flock keepers who’d rather start laying than start framing. Nesting boxes, a roost bar, a run-ready door, and ventilation sized for Southern summers — delivered as one piece, leveled in place, ready for bedding the same afternoon.
We sized it for small flocks first: six to a dozen birds with room to breathe, plus an exterior egg-collection door so you’re not crawling through the run on a rainy morning. Cook builds it with the same wall framing and roofing we use on the rest of the lineup, so it weathers the way the larger buildings do. Ask your dealer about run extensions and predator-apron options.
