The 6×6 Chicken Coop is Cook’s barn-style coop — full standing headroom inside, instead of a lean-to slope. Sized for 10 to 14 birds, with six side-accessed nesting boxes, two access doors for cleaning and egg collection, and a screened slider window for ventilation.

Same notched-skid floor as the rest of the coop lineup: pressure-treated 2×6 joists on 4×6 skids, with an engineered LP ProStruct top. Moves with a small tractor or truck when the run needs to shift.

Right-sized for smaller backyards and starter flocks. Stocked at most Cook lots.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 6×6 Chicken Coop cost?

A 6×6 Chicken Coop (36 sq ft) costs $2,315 cash, delivered fully assembled by your local Cook dealer. That price is for the standard building; options are quoted by your dealer.

What can fit in a 6×6 coop?

A 6×6 coop gives you 36 sq ft (6 ft by 6 ft) and 6' sidewalls — room for backyard poultry, small flock homesteading and urban farming.

Is a 6×6 coop delivered assembled?

Yes — a 6×6 coop is built at the factory and delivered fully assembled, usually in 7–10 working days. You will need about 14 ft of clear access width for the delivery truck and a reasonably level spot.

What base does a 6×6 coop need?

A 6×6 coop needs a level base at least 6 ft by 6 ft — a compacted gravel pad is the most common choice. Level ground protects the floor and keeps the doors square; your dealer reviews the site before delivery.

Do I need a permit for a 6×6 coop?

Whether a 6×6 coop needs a permit depends on your local building codes, not on Cook — check with your city or county before you buy. Cook provides building plans you can submit with your permit application.

How does the 6×6 Chicken Coop compare to the 6×12?

A 6×6 gives you 36 sq ft — 36 sq ft less than the 6×12 (72 sq ft) at the same 6 ft width, and about $1,684 more. Choose the 6×6 for a smaller footprint, or size up for extra length.
