What Can Fit Inside A 10 x 10 Storage Shed?

Barn Shed Style in Springtime

There are so many reasons you could be looking for a shed. You might just need extra storage or you might be looking to build a backyard workshop. As you search for the right portable building, research more than just the size.

Ask how the shed is made. You want to ensure the shed you choose will protect your belongings, whether it’s lawn equipment or precious mementos. Here are the top building features you can expect from every Cook shed.

Then, discuss the warranties on the shed. Will you be able to count on your portable building for years to come? Learn about Cook’s Lifetime Warranty.

Though Cook offers different sizes in a variety of shed styles, the 10’ x 10’ storage shed is one of the most popular. If you’re wondering what you can fit inside your shed, take a look at some common examples below. And If you’re needing ideas on maximizing every inch of your shed, check out this article.

Vehicles:

For most of our shed styles you can purchase an extra heavy duty floor to accommodate heavier equipment and vehicles. Though, the standard Cook floor will be more than sufficient for the following vehicles:

  • ATVs
  • Motorcycles
  • Golf Cart

If you’re looking for something larger to fit your car or boat, take a look at our Garage options.

Power Equipment & Lawn Tools

This is one of the most popular uses for backyard sheds. For the serious gardener or the general homeowner, a portable shed is the perfect place to store the following:

  • Lawn furniture
  • Gardening tools
  • Power equipment (tillers, blowers, mowers)

Workshop Items

Inside a woodworking shop

  • Tools & workbench
  • Woodworking materials
  • Sewing workspace and storage

We have two shed styles that have a 10′ x 10′ option that will work nicely as a workshop (see below).

But, if you’re looking to both store items AND create a workshop, the Handyman is a great choice. It’s our largest shed option (much larger than a 10’ x 10’) and has a dividing wall giving you storage space on one side and work space on the other.

Loft Adds Additional Storage Space:

Inside Lofted Garage

The Lofted Barn has a built-in loft that will give you extra space for those seasonal items or long-term storage boxes.

The Utility Shed style also offers the option to add in a loft, though this will cut out some of your head space if you’re planning to put any tall vehicles or equipment inside the shed.

Cook Shed Styles With 10’ x 10’ Options:
